Q1. Describe three ways to create a table.

Ans. Three ways to create a table:-

1. First way-

To create a table, follow the steps:

Step 1: On the Insert tab, in the Tables group, click the drop-down arrow of Table.

Step 2: Drag your mouse over the diagram squares and choose the number of rows and columns.


2. Second way-

Step 2: Click the Insert Table option.

Step 3: In the Insert Table dialog box, enter the number of columns and rows.

Step 4: Click OK.


3. Third way-

On the Insert tab, in the Tables group, click the Draw Table option. Drag and drop the dotted cell on the working area to create a cell of the desired size.


Q 2. List the steps to add a row from the Layout tab.

Ans. To insert a row/column, follow the steps:

Step1 : Place the cursor anywhere in the row/column, adjacent to which you want to add a row/column.

Step2: Under Table Tools, on the Layout tab, in the Rows and columns group, click from the four options: Insert Below, Insert Left, Insert Right. The row of column will get inserted.


Q 3. Write the steps to delete two columns using the context menu.

Ans. Step1: Select the two column.

Step 2: Right-click, a context menu appears.

Step 3: Click Delete Cells.

Step 4: Select from the four options: Shift cells left, Shift cells up, Delete entire column.


Q 4. What is the purpose of Table Styles?

Ans. By using Table Styles , you can modify the table styles. On the Design tab, in the Table Styles Options group, you can select and deselect various table options.


Q 5. Write steps to merge the first row.

Ans. Step 1: Select the cells that you want to merge.

Step 2: Under Table Tools, on the Layout tab, in the Marge group, click Merge Cells.

The cells will be merged as one cell.
